• Uses:
  • Burnishing turned work to remove minor scratches and raise a uniform sheen.
  • Wet sanding to smooth finishes — pads hold up when used with solvents or water.
  • Finish application: submerge the 800-grit grey pad in Danish oil or similar finish and apply to create a slurry that drives finish into the wood pores for deeper penetration.
  • Final buffing: the white pad is ideal as an application or finial buffing pad to bring out the luster.
• Pad breakdown:
  • Maroon — 320 grit: removes high-level lacquer residue and preps for finer work.
  • Grey — 800 grit: ideal for wet-application of finishes (Danish oil, etc.) and very fine smoothing.
