I have been doing an experiment by systematically comparing different sanding disks. The Film Tek discs have immediate faster material removal than any other discs I have tried. The abrasives stay “active” as long as or longer than any other disk I have tried. I can blow them out with my air compressor when sanding dry wood, or clear them with a brass brush when sanding wet wood or wood with sanding sealer or other finishes. The only two negatives I can say about them is the disks have a tendency to wrinkle when using with a foam back, which causes sections of the abrasive to fall off. It also has a tendency for the hook and loop back to come unglued if the temperature gets too hot. (which means I am pushing too hard)

I love these disks! Wet or dry, used and abused, they are the best performing all around disks out there. Long lasting, consistent, tough the best bang for my buck!
