These premium 8″ CBN (Cubic Boron Nitride) wheels deliver razor-sharp edges on hardened steel tools and eliminate the drawbacks of traditional grinding stones.

CBN is one of the hardest abrasive materials available (second only to diamond), making these wheels ideal for sharpening woodturning gouges, carving tools, chisels, plane irons, and other heat-treated steel cutting tools. Each wheel is precision-machined from solid aluminum, perfectly balanced, and permanently bonded with fine CBN abrasives for consistent results and vibration-free operation.

Unlike conventional grinding wheels, CBN wheels cut aggressively with minimal pressure, stay cool to protect tool temper, and never require dressing or reshaping. These wheels are designed for grinders with 5/8″ arbor shafts and perform best on low-speed grinders operating under 2,000 RPM.

The 1-1/2″ wide grinding surface features 1/4″ curved radius edges, making them ideal for sharpening and shaping bowl gouges and other turning tools. Multiple grit options allow woodturners to move seamlessly from rough shaping to ultra-fine edge refinement.

Important: CBN wheels are intended for hardened steel only. They are not suitable for soft carbon steel, aluminum, or other soft metals, which may damage the abrasive and void the warranty.
