We first introduced these discs to the woodturning market years ago and changed how people power sand their turning projects. So why are these discs so good? Many reasons… One… because of Mylar film backing. Mylar Film is very tear-resistant and because it is tear-resistant you get a long last! In addition, these discs also offer a resin adhesive bonding the abrasive to the backing that is superior to other glues being used in the market today.
The abrasive used on this disc has the highest tolerances and is electrostatically charged to Mylar film providing a very even uniform grit consistency. Once you try these hook and loop discs you will see why they are a favorite!

Really nice product, and my go-to. Bonus: sands wet or dry! Will still clog if lumber is too wet, add a touch of difficulty removing that with a rubber cleaning stick and you get 4 stars.
Although tear-resistant, they will do under aggressive use, but seem to last longer than paper-backing.
