There are a few variables that separate Gold Line Discs from other paper backing discs. Gold Line Discs offer a premium latex paper backing that is durable yet very flexible. The adhesive is resin which is simply the best adhesive for power sanding. Also, the abrasive is a premium uniform grit consistency made with Aluminum Oxide and is electrostatically charged to latex paper backing creating a uniform consistency. Gold Line Discs manufacture supplies OEMs such as Mercedes Benz and BMW in the automobile industry and Lens-Crafters here in the United States. We offer these discs as a superior replacement to other paper backed discs on the market. Also, these discs are the only latex paper discs that we am aware of that offer a C weighted backing from 80 grit through 800. This provides a more durable backing than other discs that change to a B weighted backing in higher grits. Try them against your other paper backed discs and see the difference yourself!
Here is a tip that I suggest to folks… You may wish to use a Mylar Film backed product for added durability in the lower grits to help remove tool marks and/or deep scratches. However, once you get to the higher grits generally you do not need the durability of a film backing in some cases. One option is to take advantage of the premium quality and uniform consistency of Gold Line Discs as well as taking on advantage of the costs savings. Consider the 100Pk option and save even more!!!
